Turkey is a Rainbow, Come and Discover it for Yourself

During 2007, 650,000 American tourists visited Turkey. This is the highest number ever recorded. In recent years, the number of tourists visiting Turkey has increased at a rate that is almost three times the world average, with 23.3 million people visiting Turkey in 2007. In 2006, there were 19 million, while in 2005, 21 million visited Turkey.

Curious About Turkish-Born Grandfather

Congressman Steve Cohen has been looking for an answer for a long time. Up to now he hasn’t found the answer yet. His mother’s birth certificate states that his grandfather was born in Turkey. Though he contacted the Turkish consulate in Houston, he hasn’t been able to find out more information. His mother was born in 1915 and Mr. Cohen doesn’t even have any idea which city his grandfather was born in but he is still searching...

Ülker Radziwill, a young Turkish woman from Arpacık, Fethiye, is an amazing success story. After moving to Berlin with her family at the age of seven and spending her childhood assisting her father at their local branch of the Turkish Social Democrats Party, Ms. Radziwill went on to a political career of her own.

Virginia Foxx: ''Getting Involved On the Local Level''

Republican Representative Virginia Foxx of North Carolina is among the Congress members friendly to Turkey. Even more, she has blood ties with Turks because her son-in-law is a Turkish businessman, Mustafa Özdemir. She is the third woman in North Carolina history to serve in the U.S. House.

Recep T. Erdogan: ''Turkey's Success Is Important for the Stability in the Region''

During his visit to New York, Washington DC and Boston, Prime Minister Tayyip Erdoğan spoke to Turk of America about Turkish-American relations and the problems of Turkish associations as well as Turkish people in the US. Mr. Erdogan stated that Turkey and the US are indispensable partners for each other.

Minister Kursat Tuzmen: ''The U.S. Should be More Willing''

Kursat Tuzmen, the Minister of State in charge of Customs and Foreign Trade says that Turkey should become a more central power in accordance with the American policy in the region.“Turkey should also become a part of an exclusive economic network. These realities will shape the relations between two countries for the next five years,” said Mr. Tuzmen.
