Boston – According to The Boston Globe newspaper, the median selling price for a single-family home jumped 17.6 percent, from $659,000 in October 2019 to $775,000 in October 2020. Condo prices, however, decreased 6.9 percent, from $690,000 to $642,500. While single-family homes spent an average of 37 days on the market, it was 43 days for condos. The number of active single-family listings was up 27.7 percent, while the number of condos on the market rose a whopping 51.1 percent. The number of single-family homes that sold increased 21.3 percent, while the number of condos that changed hands rose incrementally, only 0.9 percent. Umut Kumaş was born in Istanbul and he moved to the Boston area in 2001. He studied Business Administration at Salem State University and proceeded to work in a fast, upscale environment as a Business Analyst. He performed an extensive analysis of market conditions across the country to determine potential clients, contact and coordinate with clients, and build the company's customer base. Passionate about customer service, the move to Real Estate was a natural fit for him. He loves to travel and has traveled to many parts of the world; this helps him understand the needs of a diverse clientele. He enjoys competitive sports and has coached boys' soccer teams in Newton. Photography is his passion and he enjoyed designing the yearbook of a local Newton public elementary school.
Batya Natan was also born in Istanbul. After completing her undergraduate degree majoring in Economics at Boğaziçi University, she moved to Boston to study MBA at Boston University in 1993. After successfully completing the program in 1995 she decided to live in Boston and worked in finance and investment banking for many years. Her experience as a loan broker enabled her to develop strong client relationships and negotiation skills over the years. After starting a family, she moved to Newton with her two boys. Newton is known for its proximity to the city, wonderful schools, and diverse community. After she started sharing her experiences with her friends and pioneering in her friends’ move to the Boston area, she decided to work in the Real Estate field. She has been successfully helping her clients, buy and sell their homes and relocate from overseas since 2010.

On average, how many homes have you sold each year as a real estate agent?
We work with buyers, sellers, and Real Estate investors. We average approximately $10,000,000 - $15,000,000 in sales each year.
How do you utilize the Internet and social media to sell homes?
As technologically savvy realtors, we are very experienced in internet marketing. This is extremely critical in today's real estate market as more than 90% of buyers start their home search online. Additionally, a majority of sellers also search online for those realtors that offer these skills to represent them in the selling of their homes. Whether buying or selling, not having an experienced realtor with in-depth knowledge in all aspects of internet marketing and who understands all the nuances of marketing in its many forms, you may find yourself at a disadvantage. Would you talk about Boston real estate market? Is it good to invest now? What would you recommend to investors?
Boston’s real estate market is very dynamic and liquid and offers tremendous investment opportunities. The high rate of return attracts many real estate investors around the world. With the constant influx of students, young professionals, and medical doctors, there’s a constant demand for rental living in Boston. We have many foreign investors that buy properties with us and we provide rental service for them. We believe that it’s a great time to invest now since the rental returns are around 5% annually and also the properties appreciate another 5% per year. Therefore, you would get a 10% return annually; if you hold on to your property for an average of 5 years, you would get close to 50% return on your investment. These are incredible returns given the fact that they are such risk-averse investments. We recommend to investors to put money into the Boston Real Estate market and definitely have agents like us on their side to help them make conscious decisions about what property to buy.
