ATFC Coordinated An Event with Muhtar Kent and Turkish Students
The American Turkish Friendship Council and Mona Tekin Diamond, Turkish Honorary Consul General for Georgia, coordinated a reception with Muhtar Kent, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Coca-Cola Company, at Coca-Cola headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. The event allowed Turkish students and professionals in the area to connect. Following refreshments and dinner, Mr. Kent spoke on the importance of forming relationships and the benefits of risk taking.
Governor and First Lady Deal of Georgia also offered several words about their strong memories of hosting international students in their home. They acknowledged the benefits of learning about foreign issues and forming connections with international communities. The Governor and First Lady will be leading a trade mission to Turkey in several weeks.
The evening was shared by about one hundred people. In attendance was Honorary Consul General Mona Tekin Diamond, Turkish executives of The Coca-Cola Company, executive board members of the American Turkish Friendship Council and Turkish student groups from Emory University, Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Georgia, Mercer University, Southern Polytechnic State University, Georgia State University and Kennesaw State University.
