Super Angel Aydin Senkut Has Raised $52 Million
Felicis Ventures, the Silicon Valley-based firm run by super angel investor and former Google executive Aydin Senkut, has raised $52m for its third fund, according to a recent filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
Felicis Ventures III follows on from the Palo Alto-headquartered firm’s previous fund, which closed with commitments of around $40m.
Felicis, which was one of the first backers of Angry Birds developer Rovio Mobile, has a portfolio of more than 50 companies including Practice Fusion, Imageshack and Shopify.
In the last four years 20 of the firm’s backed start-ups have been bought by the likes of Google, Twitter, Groupon, Microsoft, AT&T, Disney, Ebay, Chegg and Intuit.
