“I am honored to be part of the IDEA management team for the 2016-2017 fiscal year,” Shorooghi noted. “I will work hard for a balanced budget that can support our goals and activities.” Lia Shore, Executive Director of IDEA, is enthusiastic about this year’s Officers and their tenure to come.  “Each newly elected Officer is a proven successful business leader in his or her own right, and IDEA is fortunate to have their collective talents applied to the pursuit of IDEA’s mission, especially during a time of exciting growth and development. I have a great deal of earned trust in and respect of these individuals, and I look forward to our work together,” Shore stated.

Shore and the Officers will work together with the Board of Trustees in the coming year as they continue to expand IDEA products and services to the industry by developing policy, standards, and best practices for issues that occur within and affect the open market as well as the education, training, and certification programs that will effectively address them.

IDEA would like to acknowledge the preceding President, Paul Romano, for his years of leadership.  Romano shall continue to serve on the Board of Trustees. The Officers have already held their first meeting and will meet at regular intervals going forward, further ensuring a proactive leadership body.
