Top New York Laser Eye Surgeon utilizes bladeles laser fo fast and safest outcomes. The most advanced technology in Laser Eye Surgery, called INTRALASE Femto-second Laser, provides a new level of assurance about the safety and effectiveness of LASIK surgery. With IntraLase, a special laser is used to gently reshape the corneal surface, resulting in improved vision, 20/20 in most cases. During the procedure, two different lasers are used, and it is also called “bladeless” or “all-laser” LASIK. Dr. Kevin Niksarli of Manhattan Lasik Center, who has been performing LASIK for over a decade, has been using INTRALASE, as one of the first LASIK centers, to adopt this most advanced technology.

Dr. Niksarli, a graduate of Cornell University Medical School and Columbia University, with further training at Harvard University, is a board certified ophthalmologist, with offices in Manhattan, N.Y. and Fort Lee, N.J. Dr. Niksarli offers the most advanced LASIK and laser vision correction technologies in the tri-state area, and has been awarded the prestigious VISK STAR award, with a vast experience of over 40,000 LASIK surgeries.

Dr. Niksarli, who is the medical director at Manhattan Lasik Center, in Midtown Manhattan states that ‘The speedy and safer Intralase procedure improves patient comfort and decreases anxiety. The second step of the LASIK involves an eye-tracking laser to reshape the surface to treat nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism, and typically takes 15 to 45 seconds of laser time. Altogether we are looking at 10 minutes or less procedure time, for both eyes, to reduce or eliminate someone’s lifelong dependence on corrective lenses. Most achieve 20/20 vision within hours following the process.

We are privileged to be one of the few select centers in the country to be able to utilize this most advanced form of bladeless eye surgery’, concludes Dr. Niksarli, who is also a select LASIK specialist to be included in Guide to America’s Top Ophthalmologist, National Register’s Who’s Who, among others. He actively teaches N.Y. area ophthalmology residents as well as ophthalmologists in the latest techniques in laser vision correction. He is on staff at Lenox Hill Hospital, Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, and New York University Medical Center.
