LJ Tarman, vice president of marketing and public relations of the $1.2 billion NuVision Federal Credit Union, was recently recognized by Congress for her leadership and community relations outreach, and the $1.2 billion Huntington Beach, Calif., credit union itself was feted for its charitable work in communities it serves across Southern California and Arizona.

The Congressional Certificate of Recognition was presented to Tarman by the office of U.S. Rep. John Campbell (R-Calif.)

“It is an honor to be recognized for something we love doing,” said Tarman.  “NuVision has an enthusiastic team that enjoys giving back to the communities we serve.  We are always excited to show residents how easy and friendly banking with NuVision can be.”

Along with Tarman’s work, the credit union’s staff has participated in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2012 “Light the Night” event at Angels Stadium; the 2012 CHOC “Walk in the Park” at Disneyland Resort; adopting military families for Thanksgiving through the USAR 79th SSC, HHD National Guard & Reserves Family Services Center; hosting collection sites for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots program; fulfilling holiday wish lists for local military families through Spouse2Spouse and donations to Project Self Sufficiency and The California Paralyzed Veterans Association.
