Turkey Featured As A Top Tourism Destination During The NYT Travel Show

Turkey has made giant strides in the past decade by increasing its economy to $US 820 billion, making it the 17th largest economy in the world, sixth largest-economy compared with EU countries and the sixth most-visited tourist destination in the world behind only France, the United States, China, Spain and Italy.
 
In 2014, the country welcomed a record 36.8-million international visitors, an increase of 5.52 percent over the previous year.
 
As Silver Sponsor of the Travel Show, Turkey’s Booth will include a welcome reception starting at 2:30pm on January 23 with Turkish tea and simit – the traditional Turkish bread encrusted with sesame seeds.
