Comodo Launches New Security Checkmark Logo

ImageInternet security organization Comodo (www.comodo.com) has implemented a new logo design and seal, which customers can use to show visitors that their website is protected by Comodo SSL certificate.
According to Comodo’s announcement, the design is scheduled to rollout immediately, and features a checkmark design consistent with Comodo's firewall products. The design, according to the company, was developed in such a way to reposition the Comodo check mark icon more prominently in bold green lettering on every site in order to assure customers the highest level of security protection. The green Comodo check mark icon is prominently featured within a stylized letter “C”, helping assure businesses conducting eCommerce transactions with a universal “seal of trust.”

“Delivering a safe and secure online marketplace allowing millions of sellers and buyers to successfully transact on Comodo secured websites is a top priority for us,” chief executive officer and CSO Melih Abdulhayoglu said in a statement. “With our focus on security excellence, following our tradition as the first to offer a ‘corner of trust’ in the enterprise SSL marketspace, we continue to be well positioned to help customers secure confidential information as it's shared across the Internet and around the world.”

Another new addition to Comodo’s security seal options is a patent-pending Video TrustLogo, which provides a brief video on the value of SSL certificates delivered when a visitor clicks on the seal.

“We are already seeing an evolution toward ubiquitous eCommerce transactions,” Abdulhayoglu said. “With the combination of HackerProof, BuyerTrust Purchase Protection and security products by Comodo, customers can address security issues as a one-stop-shop for eCommerce. This makes Comodo especially favored by eCommerce merchants, retailers and security-focused organizations in financial services, health care and the federal government." "With the integration of this new, trusted seal we can deliver on our promise of making data security more visible, intelligent and easy-to-manage for everyone.”

Recently, competing Internet infrastructure services provider VeriSign (www.verisign.com) launched its VeriSign Trust Seal (www.verisign.com/ssl/secured-seal), which was also designed to make individuals will feel comfortable visiting a website.
