The "Ottoman Clock" in Mexico City

The clock tower was presented as a gift by Ottoman citizens of Lebanese and Arabic origin to mark the 100th anniversary of the independence of Mexico.
The inauguration of the clock tower was made by the then Mexican President Guillermo de Landa and Chairman of the Ottoman 100th Year Committee Antonio Letayf.
Numbers on the clock have been printed in both Latin and Arabic language.
