Muhtar Kent Has a New Role for Turkish Diaspora

Kent described his new role and said, “I thank our Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan for handing me over this role. As always, civil society and the state have to work in cooperation in the scope of bringing Turkey to higher positions that it deserves and to answer the questions of Turkish citizens who live abroad.” Kent added that Turkey is a growing brand and said, “We have to spread Turkish lobby abroad. We have to pay high attention to make Turkish diaspora to become one of the most affective diaspora in the world with continuous diaspora strategies. We need to give a helping hand to Turkish entrepreneurs who are all over the world.” Turks Abroad Advisory Board will be holding its facilities under a government department which was established a few years ago to focus on Turks living abroad. The Board will become active and hold services in 2013 in the scope of assessing the problems of Turks living abroad and its coordination. Reporting by Ali Ozturk / AA
