American yoghurt brand Chobani is launching a marketing offensive in Australia next week, with TV, outdoor and social media in the mix. This week marks the expansion of the yoghurt brand into Victoria, following its launch in New South Wales in November last year. Hamdi Ulukaya, founder of Chobani said: “To take Chobani beyond the US to Australia was very exciting for us. We chose Victoria as our second Australian market because we know that Victoria is Australia’s dairy heartland, and we hope they’ll love Chobani as much as our New South Wales fans do.”
The company is spending $20m on expanding of its Dandenong plant with plans to manufacture Chobani in Australia from mid 2012. (http://mumbrella.com.au)
