2013 LATFF Announces Winners

Second Los Angeles Turkish Film Festival announced this year’s award recipients in short film category. The awards were presented at a ceremony in the Egyptian Theater. Running through 28 February - 03 March 2013, the Festival presented four awards: Award for Best Short Film, Audience Award and two Jury’s Special Awards.

Turkish-American Friendship Day

WASHINGTON/ATLANTA- Fourth Annual Turkish-American Friendship Day was held in Georgia. The Fourth Annual Turkish-American Friendship Day was held in Atlanta, capital of Georgia state of the US on February 6-7. The event was organized by Atlanta-based ‘Istanbul Center’ and attended by Georgia governor, senators and deputies as well as Turkish officials.

Turkey Enters New Level and Creates Turkeywood

Earlier this year, the Ministry of Economy of Turkey announced the economic areas that would be provided with government support. They include such industries as education, medical tourism, film and science. Turkey's Economy Ministry announced that one of the priorities would be creation of an equivalent of Hollywood and Bollywood. The name of the new production company would be Turkeywood.

Arpad Busson Treats Girlfriend Uma Thurman to Godiva Chocolate

With their transatlantic romance, they are rarely seen together in public. But with Uma Thurman only a few weeks away from giving birth, her boyfriend Arpad 'Arki' Busson has been taking care of his expectant partner. The 49-year-old financier was spotted treating the heavily pregnant actress, 42, to chocolate at Godiva in Midtown Manhattan yesterday.

Walking into the store holding hands with Arpad, it looked like Uma was feeling weary.

It was revealed last week that the Kill Bill star's baby shower took place on May 31.

Her sister Taya Thurman hosted the intimate party for 25 at her New York apartment, with actress Debra Messing in attendance. A source told Us Weekly magazine: 'Taya threw a wonderful, sweet party - it was exactly what you'd hope your baby shower would be.
