The Turkish entrepreneur Mustafa V. Koç, who plays a leading role in Turkey's finance and industry and is a strategic partner of the most important Italian industries active in Turkey, has won the Leonardo International 2012 Award. This prize is awarded each year by the Leonardo Committee to foreign businessmen that have contributed strengthening economic and commercial ties between Italy and their country of origin. 
Azerbaijani businessman, President of the Palmali Group of Companies, Mubariz Mansimov, has bought an island near the port that he owns in Bodrum city. Operational construction works are under way in the island, and a grandiose opening ceremony of the island is expected to be held soon, Gun.Az reported.
PATERSON, NJ – After a one-year absence, the Turkish-American parade returns to Paterson this weekend. The event will begin at noon on Sunday at the corner of Madison Avenue and Main Street. It will then proceed down Main Street into Clifton, where a festival will be held at Clifton Park.
Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), owned by Turkish couple Fatih and Eren Özmen, was among four companies chosen for a commercial space flight project by NASA. SNC will be competing against Boeing, Blue Origin, and SpaceX to produce a space shuttle. Last year, the company received $100 million for the project, and according to news portal, www.turkavenue.com, the couple behind SNC have named their shuttle “Dream Chaser.”
