The Turkish-American Business Council came into being in 1985 with the aim of improving and strengthening trade and investment relations between Turkey and America. In the past, many notable names from the business world have headed up this organization. With 120 active members, TAIK hopes to help accelerate the development of relations between these two countries.

Heir to Suzer

Mr. Serhan Suzer, the young heir to Suzer Group, is 28 years old and is a manager in the group’s partnerships with American companies. Mr. Suzer played a key role in implementing the Ritz-Carlton Hotel project and is following the KFC and Pizza Hut franchises. He is also responsible for the group’s foreign relations and is the coordinator of the public relations department of the group.

New York Police Commemorate Turkish Colleagues Fallen in Istanbul Attack

Image Police officers from the New York Police Department (NYPD) joined Turkish and American NGO's in a commemoration event held in Times Square for victims of the deadly PKK bombings in Istanbul on Dec. 10, which killed 44 people, including 36 police officers. NYPD Muslim Officers Society Chairman Adeel Rana said in a speech that NYPD officers had joined the event to support Turkish colleagues and to give a message of solidarity, adding that all the world should be united in the fight against terrorism.
