Comodo (comodo.com), a leading certificate authority and Internet security solutions provider, announced the release of Comodo Antispam Gateway (CASG) 1.2, an advanced email filtering solution that frees employee inboxes of junk mail glut. Ideally suited for small to mid-size businesses that host their own email servers, CASG is a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) that can be configured and managed from any Internet-connected web browser. CASG quarantines messages that were determined to be spam or scanned positive for virus attachments, stopping annoying and malicious threats from reaching a user's email. 
Turkey is planning to purchase 100 F-35 Joint Strike Fighters worth $16 billion in an attempt to meet its future air force needs, DefenSe Minister ismet YIlmaz was quoted as saying today. "Turkey plans to buy 100 F-35 Joint Strike Fighters, two of which will be delivered in 2015," Yilmaz told the daily Milliyet.

According to the European Union, Turkey’s real gross-domestic-product growth for 2010 was 9%, compared to just 2% for the 27 EU members. Turkey will purchase two Lockheed Martin Corp. (LMT) F-35 fighter jets and and 15 helicopters from Textron Inc. (TXT) for the police department, the Defense Industries Undersecretary said today in a statement. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan convened a meeting with the Defense Industries Undersecretary Murad Bayar, Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz and the military’s Chief of General Staff Necdet Ozel today in Ankara, where the orders were approved.

Turk Telekom partnered foreign languages school EF International Language Center to launch a Wirofon VoIP service promotion aimed at the school's students. Under the terms of the promotion, the first 10,000 EF students who subscribe to Wirofon will get 500 minutes as a monthly bonus for making calls from abroad to fixed lines in Turkey by the end of the year. Making calls using the Wirofon service is possible using mobile phones or computers with access to the internet.
