Afa Zada, CEO of Zada Advisors, shares how her early life experiences and education laid the groundwork for her diverse career path.

Zada's journey began with her background in Korean language studies, a skill that proved invaluable in a large-scale development project. Her proficiency in Korean facilitated communication with stakeholders, highlighting the importance of effective project management. Motivated by this, she pursued a master’s degree in project management in the United Kingdom, where she learned the significance of common sense in project success.

TAILORED SOLUTIONS

As CEO of Zada Advisors, Zada faced significant challenges in providing advisory services to diverse projects, from real estate to green energy initiatives. Balancing the array of services often posed confusion for clients. However, she embraced the principle of hiring experts when needed, assembling tailored solutions and professionals for each project. This strategic approach enabled Zada Advisors to deliver effective solutions across various sectors.

Transitioning to the US, Zada encountered the challenge of minimal recognition of her overseas qualifications. To swiftly enter the workforce, she became a licensed real estate agent in New York, drawing from her experience in commercial real estate and hospitality. She expanded her ventures to Florida and, amidst the global pandemic, launched a successful master franchise of Century 21 in Guyana, South America.

Zada's expertise in marketing, operations, and social media played a pivotal role in her career. Her ability to recruit skilled professionals, manage tasks efficiently, and address challenges promptly ensured smooth project operations. She advises women not to emulate men but to leverage their unique qualities and emotional intelligence in male-dominated industries like real estate and project management.

Lastly, balancing professional commitments with personal interests, Zada took a year off to prioritize family after welcoming a new baby. Now back with renewed determination, she's focused on achieving her goals. Her passion for wellness led to the launch of an anti-aging wellness retreat, while her interest in astrology resulted in publishing two books on the subject. As she pursues success for herself and her daughter, Zada's diverse skills continue to drive innovation and growth.
