GREENVILLE, S.C. -- A physician known for delivering a daily dose of medical and nutritional advice on TV has apparently done a lot to keep area businesses healthy too. Dr. Mehmet Oz, of "The Dr. Oz Show," is seen weekday afternoons on WYFF. "As soon as Dr. Oz airs at 4 o'clock we get phone calls," Vanessa Rampey, an employee of Garner's Natural Life in Greenville, told WYFF. "They're asking, 'Do you have it? An analysis of the impact of the biopharmaceutical sector on the economy of New York, using data primarily from 2006, indicates that the biopharmaceutical industry generated $29.1 billion in total output, of which $16.0 billion was generated from direct employment. New York State is responsible for 6.8% of all direct biopharmaceutical output nationally.
