Iran, Turkey to Set Up Joint University Soon
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology Arsalan Qorbani announced that Tehran and Ankara plan to establish a joint university in the near future to further expand the two countries' scientific and technological cooperation. "Iran and Turkey's joint university will be set up in Iran's Tabriz city and Turkey's Wan city," Qorbani told FNA on Monday.

A man in Turkey was reportedly granted a trademark for 'Steve Jobs' in the country for a line of clothing, it has emerged. As Digital Spy said citing Patently Apple, a businessman named Kamil Kürekçi lodged an application to trademark the name of the late Apple co-founder in 2011 with the Turkish Trademark Office. The 'STEVE JOBS' trademark was filed in October 2011 - the month that Jobs passed away - and specifically related to a textile brand.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently announced the much anticipated provisional unlawful presence waiver rule, which will reduce the time U.S. citizens are separated from their qualified immediate relatives, who are in the process of getting their green cards. The final rule establishes a process that allows qualified relatives of U.S. citizens to apply for a provisional unlawful presence waiver before they depart the U.S. to attend immigrant visa interviews to obtain their green cards in their countries of origin. This was not possible under the previous rule, where the applicant must file for an unlawful presence waiver at the U.S. Embassy abroad and only after departing the U.S.

A total of 652.790 tourists arrived Istanbul in December 2012, 19 per cent more compare to December 2011.
