Texas Turkish American Chamber of Commerce (TTACC) facilitated a Partner City Agreement between the Metropolitan City of Adana and the City of Houston. Adana and Houston continued discussing this issue for some time which resulted in the partnership agreement. Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zihni Aldirmaz and Mayor Edward Gonzalez signed the agreement.
WASHINGTON, D.C.—The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-Turkey Business Initiative (USTBI) tonight welcomed Turkey’s Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan and President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Myron Brilliant, the Chamber’s executive vice president and head of International Affairs, joined Babacan and Hisarcıklıoğlu to celebrate the culmination of a three-day trip by a Turkish delegation to the U.S. spotlighting a renewed focus on the economic relationship between the two countries.

Niederauer, CEO of NYSE Euronext, and Süreyya Ciliv, CEO of Turkcell, at its 2011 Gala Dinner on October 20th at The Plaza in New York. Eleven textile industry leaders from Turkey will tour the U.S. Cotton Belt on May 7-17 as part of a COTTON USA Special Trade Mission. The Taxi Of Tomorrow might be built in Brooklyn! Karsan, the Turkish manufacturer in the running to build New York's next generation of taxicabs, is now upping the ante (and changed its tune) by pledging to manufacture the wheelchair-accessible vehicles in the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal. The new pledge makes the Karsan cab the only one of the three finalists which would be built in America (it had previously said it would build them in Turkey).
