Western Union CEO Suggests His Company Could Adopt Bitcoin When It's Regulated
Speaking on Wednesday with Bloomberg’s ‘Street Smart’ program hosted by Trish Regan, Western Union CEO Hikmet Ersek made some interesting comments on the topic of bitcoin. Particularly, Ersek suggested that his company, a leader in money remittences, could look to adopt bitcoin if customers demand it — with a catch. It must first be regulated.- Published in Latest

Chairman of the American-Turkish Council (ATC), General James Jones, announced today that the ATC Board of Directors returned the June 1 letters of resignation from President and CEO Amb. Jim Holmes and Executive Director Canan Buyukunsal, and has asked them to remain in place. A factory that will produce critical engine parts for Lockheed Martin’s F-35 fighter jets has been inaugurated in Aegean Turkish province of İzmir by the partnership of Kale Group and Pratt & Whitney. The project crucial for the jet program also marks a breakthrough for Turkey’s industrial development. Kale Pratt & Whitney, a joint venture of American aerospace manufacturer Pratt & Whitney and Turkish aviation company Kale, has inaugurated its new engine factory in the Aegean province of İzmir, where the most critical engine parts of F-35 fighter jets will be manufactured.
