Image Basoglu Cable and Profile looks for opportunities in the US market. Atahan Cilasin, assistant of international sales manager of Basoglu Cable,  paid a visit major US cable companies to introduce Basoglu's products to U.S. market. Cilasin visited Turkish cable companies Sark Wire in Albany  and CN Wire in Connecticutt, Wesco in Pittsburg, (PA), Anixter, which has the biggest market share of US market with 29 percent, in Glenview (IL).

Six Turkish Americans Named to International Advisory Board

Image Adem Buyukacar, TACC Secretary General, Ali Cinar, President of Federation of Turkish American Associations, Dr. Faruk Taban, President of Turkic American Alliance, Ergun Kirlikovali, President of ATAA, Mehmet Celebi, President-Elect of ATAA, Mehmet Durmus, VP of FTAA, Prof. Dr. Haluk Unal, Professor of Finance, at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland and Sevil Ozisik, Managing Partner of Tooma & Ozisik LLP, has been selected to serve on Turkey's "Overseas Citizens Advisory Board," a prestigious international advisory panel.  On December 28, 2012, the Turkish Prime Minister's office approved the Advisory Board members' selection after a 15-month review process of a significant number of Turks of varied backgrounds who are leaders and experts in their respective fields.

TCA Named Fourth Largest Sponsor of Congressional Travel in 2012

Image Today, Roll Call recognized TCA as the fourth largest sponsor of Congressional travel in 2012 following the American Israel Education Foundation, The Aspen Institute and the Congressional Institute. Since 2009, TCA has sponsored 15 trips and taken nearly 150 members of Congress and senior staff to Turkey and its neighboring countries to educate Congress on the importance of a vibrant    U.S.-Turkey relationship and to bring balanced dialogue to key issues on Capitol Hill.

NASA's Commercial Crew Partners Set for Further Tests in 2013

Image NASA and its commercial partners are rapidly working towards late-stage spacecraft development tests in 2013, according to an update delivered by the various companies late last week. Calling 2012 "an unbelieveable year for the commercial crew program", NASA commercial crew manager Ed Mango pointed out that the program is more than meeting expectations.
