Torrential monsoon rains in Kerala, a southwestern region of India, began in early May 2018 and became incessant starting August 8th, 2018. The state of Kerala has witnessed dozens of landslides over the past few weeks. Nearly 6,000 relief camps are filling with displaced people, after many were  stranded on rooftops awaiting helicopter or boat rescue.

Harry (Hayri) Ablak, Age 87, of North Strabane, passed quietly on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 surrounded by his family at his home. Harry (Hayri) married his beloved wife, Gunsenin Ablak, in 1960. He is the loving father of Varol (Selen) Ablak, Seckin (Maria) Ablak, & Shan (Joshua) Hoyt; treasured grandfather of ten; proud great grandfather of two; caring brother of Esat Ablak.

Two years after the July 15 coup attempt, THO recognizes that the passage of time does not lessen the immediacy of the events of July 15, 2016, nor does it relegate the coup attempt to the annals of history. Turkey and its people continue to live the impact of the coup every day.
