Turk of America Magazine has selected the 50 Most Influentials Turkish Americans first time ever. The list is distinctive in that it identifies Turkish Americans who are innovative, courageous, and successful in their fields. The list highlights Turkish American entrepreneurs, corporate executives, social entrepreneurs, political and civil leaders.

The July 15 Coup Attempt in Turkey: One Year On

THO and a distinguished panel of experts on July 13 for a new look at the July 15 coup attempt one year later and its ongoing impact on the U.S.-Turkey relationship as well as Turkey's regional outlook. Last year's failed coup attempt, carried out by a faction within the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), took a considerable toll on the Turkish nation and created enormous domestic, regional, and international risks.

Amid US-Turkey Tensions, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson Meets Turkish Leaders

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson held talks with Turkish leaders in Istanbul on issues ranging from Syria to last year's failed coup. After arriving from Ukraine, Tillerson met with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu yesterday and later held talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, officials on both sides said. No statement was issued after the late night talks at the Istanbul residence of Erdogan by the Bosphorus. Tillerson, the former chief executive of energy giant Exxon Mobil, earlier addressed the opening ceremony of the World Petroleum Congress, notably mentioning the defeat of last year's failed coup against Erdogan.
