Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) expanded its presence in Huntsville, Alabama yesterday, breaking ground on a new aircraft modification and upgrade facility at the Madison County Executive Airport. The ceremony marked the culmination of 12 months of close collaboration with the Madison Executive Airport Authority and the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce to provide facilities specific to military fixed aircraft. 
Smartphone users can soon get health advice directly from medical experts thanks to a new partnership between Waterloo-based Blackberry and digital wellness platform Sharecare, co-created by Dr. Mehmet Oz and WebMD founder Jeff Arnold. The companies announced the launch of the service, called the Sharecare BBM channel, in a release Wednesday saying it will connect users to major health organizations and medical professionals from inside Blackberry's messaging service, BBM. "Experts ranging from the American Cancer Society to licensed physicians and nurses, and luminaries from Deepak Chopra to Dr. Oz can be connected to users to help them find the health answers, advice and resources that are right for them," the release states. 
Canadian pasta manufacturers want importers to stop bringing subsidized Turkish pasta into the country because it is hurting them along with millers and farmers. “Canada is becoming the North American dumping ground for cheap Turkish pasta,” said Don Jarvis, executive director of the Canadian Pasta Manufacturers Association (CPMA). “We are extremely concerned about the impacts that subsidized and dumped pasta will have on local Canadian businesses.” More than five million tonnes of pasta was imported into Canada from Turkey between January and November 2015, almost tripling 2014 import volumes. The landed price of that pasta was 50 percent less than Italian imports and 40 percent cheaper than U.S. imports, according to Statistics Canada.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice had Super Bowl ads ready on Feb. 7, although they technically weren't just ads for the movie. In fact, they didn't even premiere during the big game, as Turkish Airlines showed two new ads promoting Gotham and Metropolis before kickoff. Turkish Airlines was already seen in the last full trailer, as Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman was briefly on a flight in her Diana Prince clothes. This time, the airline announces that it is flying to both Gotham and Metropolis, with celebrity endorsements from each city's greatest businessman. 
Chobani, the Greek-yogurt maker founded by billionaire Hamdi Ulukaya, has rejected an offer from PepsiCo Inc. to take a major stake in the company. Chobani hired Goldman Sachs Group Inc. last year to seek a strategic partner that would invest in the company and help it expand distribution and production. A recent offer from PepsiCo to invest in the company was shot down, effectively ending deal discussions, according to Michael Gonda, a spokesman for the Norwich, New York-based yogurt company. PepsiCo declined to comment. 
Los Angeles: The Cleveland Cavaliers, who are expected to be one of the busiest teams in the days leading up to next week's NBA Trade Deadline, have a few players in mind as they continue to find the right deal and rumors claim that among the players that the Cavs have their eyes on are Omer Asik and Tyreke Evans. This season, Tyreke Evans contract is $10.7 million. It doesn't work. Trade exceptions cannot be combined with other players (aggregated in CBA terms). However, Asik is making $9.2 million and would fit within the Brendan Haywood trade exception. 
Europe's leading carrier Turkish Airlines' success has become a case study at one of the world's most prestigious collegial institutions -- Harvard Business School (HBS) on Tuesday. The case study called "Turkish Airlines: Widen Your World" explored the company's transformation from a regional actor to a global powerhouse in the international aviation industry, and discussed its fast and profitable growth in the sector. "Forecasts for the sector predict approximately 7 percent passenger and capacity growth in 2016. Turkish Airlines plans to achieve 21 percent capacity and 18 percent passenger growth in 2016," said the case study authored by HBS faculty member Prof. Juan Alcacer and HBS Istanbul Research Center’s Executive Director Esel Cekin.

NASA competitively selected Sierra Nevada Corporation’s (SNC) Space Systems to receive a multi-year contract to provide cargo delivery, return and disposal services for the International Space Station (ISS). SNC received a Commercial Resupply Services 2 (CRS2) contract, to fulfill a minimum of six cargo delivery service missions to and from the ISS utilizing SNC’s Dream Chaser Cargo System. NASA’s selection of SNC for the CRS2 programwill enable spacecraft reusability and runway landings for United States’ cargo delivery and access to the ISS through 2024.
Last week, Chobani aired a cheeky new television spot that pits Simply 100, the Greek yogurt maker's new low-calorie offering, against the competition. The commercial opens with a woman lounging on a poolside chair. She reaches for a cup of Dannon Greek yogurt, reads its ingredients, and then promptly throws it into the garbage. In the background, the voice of a narrator calmly explains what's going on: "Dannon Light & Fit Greek actually uses artificial sweeteners like sucralose. Sucralose—why? That stuff has chlorine in it."

Turkish Coalition of America (TCA) 2014 annual report released. The report highlights TCA's many programs, projects, and grants in 2014.
