Sierra Nevada Corporation Collaborates on Regional Jet Aircraft in Turkey
SPARKS, Nev. – Sierra Nevada Corporation’s (SNC) Chief Executive Officer Fatih Ozmen, announces that the company recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding involving the Turkish Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs & Communications to meet the need of producing the country’s fırst regional jet as part of its Regional Aircraft Project (“Project”). The foundation of the Project is a modernized version of the D328 aircraft, of which all intellectual property rights have been acquired, which will be the first domestically-built passenger aircraft in Turkey. The design of a new high-tech product, the 628 aircraft series, will start simultaneously with production of the 328 series. While the Project establishes a world-class aerospace industry infrastructure in Turkey it also serves the global aviation market. 
Mehmet Bayraktar, the developer behind the planned mixed-use development on Miami’s Watson Island, obtained financing for his $1 billion project. Bayraktar received a $22.67 million mortgage from Demir-Halk Bank, based in the Netherlands, on May 11, according to Miami-Dade County records. Island Gardens, designed by Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates, would include two luxury hotels, a residential building, retail and restaurants.

WESTAMPTON, N.J. (AP) ? Emergency responders say Dr. Mehmet Oz helped them out by treating two people injured in a weekend car crash on the New Jersey Turnpike. The celebrity doctor saw the single-car crash happen Saturday night near Exit 6 along the turnpike. Officials say he stopped his vehicle and ran to help. When a Westampton Township emergency services crew arrived, they were surprised to find Oz already providing aid. They say he helped stabilize one person?s spine and provided them with details about both victims? injuries and conditions upon their arrival.

Turkey has hired former CIA director Porter Goss to lobby for the Ankara government?s interests in the United States, a report reveals. Citing forms filed with the US Department of Justice, The Intercept news website reported Turkey had hired Goss through Dickstein Shapiro, a US-based law firm and lobbying group, to support Ankara?s interests in Washington. The Intercept is dedicated to reporting on documents leaked by the fugitive American intelligence whistleblower Edward Snowden. 
LOS ANGELES (AP) Dr. Mehmet Oz's radio show, "The Daily Dose with Dr. Oz," is getting a new home. Oz struck a deal with iHeartMedia that will begin later this year, according to a release this week from Oz and the Texas-based company. It will involve more projects than "The Daily Dose," but further details were not immediately available, Oz spokesman Tim Sullivan said Friday. The minute-long "The Daily Dose" will air on its current radio syndicator, Westwood One, through the end of May.
