The Los Angeles Clippers might re-sign forward Hedo Turkoglu if they waive the newly acquired Carlos Delfino and Miroslav Raduljica, according to the Orange County Register's Dan Woike. All signs point to both of them being waived in order to give Los Angeles roster flexibility. To use that flexibility on Turkoglu, though, would be curious. The 14-year veteran did not exactly prove himself to be still capable of contributing last year.

Earlier this week, the Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) announced that it had achieved another technical milestone under its $212.5 million Commercial Crew Integrated Capability contract with NASA. The contract is aimed at aiding SNC in the development of its Dream Chaser spacecraft, a reusable spacecraft which is designed to carry astronauts into low Earth orbit and, the company hopes, carry NASA astronauts to the International Space Station.

After two months of delays, SpaceX achieved success today in its launch of six Orbcomm telecommunications satellites into orbit on Monday, July 14. All six satellites have been successfully deployed in orbit. The six satellites, which were built by the Sierra Nevada Corporation, are part of Orbcomm’s next generation of satellites, which aim to provide faster and more robust data systems to its customers, as well as increasing the company’s overall network capacity. The six satellites are the first part of what’s envisioned to be a 17-satellite constellation, which the company aims to have in orbit by the end of the year.
NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Pelicans announced Tuesday an expected trade with the Houston Rockets for center Omer Asik, which now includes a third team, the Washington Wizards. NEW YORK (July 14, 2014) – The Summer Fancy Food Show, the largest since it was first presented in 1955, is drawing strong reviews from exhibitors and attendees alike. The first group of a total of 48 American middle and high school teachers arrived in Istanbul and began their 14-day journey through Turkey on the Turkish Cultural Foundation's Teacher Study Tours. The teachers were selected from among participants in the Teacher Workshops on Turkey organized under the Spotlight on Turkey 2014 program, by 10 local chapters of the World Affairs Councils of America (WACA) and TCF. PRISTINA, Kosovo (AP) — Kosovo's Infrastructure Ministry says a $820 million deal has been signed with American-Turkish consortium Bechtel-Enka to build a 60 kilometer (37 miles) highway that will link Kosovo with Macedonia. The ministry said Tuesday work on the new highway will start on July 2.
