Image MANCHESTER — With violence and unrest upending much of the Muslim world, a small gathering in Manchester was doing what it could to maintain the stability of Turkey and further friendly relations with the United States. The Turkish Cultural Center New Hampshire hosted its second Annual Friendship Dinner and Award Ceremony at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Manchester, an event that drew several political, religious and business leaders from the state.

Hedo Turkoglu's Orlando Magic Playing Days Are Over

Image Hedo Turkoglu remains on the Orlando Magic’s roster for now, but his days playing for the team are over. Although team officials and Turkoglu’s camp have not reached a buyout deal, both sides have agreed that Turkoglu will not join the team when it convenes for the start of training camp Tuesday or at any time after that. “Our organization has a great deal of respect for Hedo and the contributions he’s made to the team over the years,” Magic General Manager Rob Hennigan told the Orlando Sentinel.

Chobani Illnesses: FDA Receives 89 Reports Of Nausea, Cramps

Image TWIN FALLS, Idaho -- At least 89 people have reported getting sick after eating Chobani Greek yogurt manufactured in Twin Falls, the Food and Drug Administration reported. FDA spokeswoman Tamara Ward told The Times-News (http://bit.ly/17nnX7P) on Monday that some have described nausea and cramps. No link has been confirmed between the illnesses and the yogurt. However, Ward says the FDA is working with Chobani to hasten its voluntary recall.

SkyWatch: Dream Chaser Closer to Space Flight

Image The Dream Chaser space plane, which the Colorado-based ­company Sierra Nevada Corporation is developing to fly astronauts to and from the International Space Station, was held aloft by an Erickson Air-Crane heavy-lift helicopter in the skies above NASA’s Dryden Flight Research Center in Edwards, California. The helicopter carried a test version of Dream Chaser for two hours during Thursday’s trial, reaching a maximum altitude of 3780 metres and following the path the space plane will likely take during future approach and landing tests at Dryden, NASA officials said.

Chobani Issues All-Clear After Yogurt Recall

Image After concerns over its product led the Chobani Greek yogurt company to issue a voluntary recall of some packages earlier this week, the New York-based foodmaker now says the mold that was identified as the culprit is not dangerous. "Through extensive testing and expert consultation, we now know that the mold found in the products we voluntarily recalled this week is a species called Mucor circinelloides," the company says. "Mucor circinelloides is not considered a foodborne pathogen."

Chobani Recalls Greek Yogurt Cups

Image NEW YORK -- Chobani says it's recalling some of its Greek yogurt cups that were affected by mold, a move prompted by reports of illnesses by some customers. The recall comes about a week after the company first started asking retailers to pull the products from shelves, saying some cups were "swelling and bloating." Chobani had previously said it wasn't issuing a formal recall. But the Food and Drug Administration said Wednesday that it was in talks with the company about the matter.

Magic Working on Turkoglu Buyout

Image The Magic are working on a buyout agreement with Hedo Turkoglu, plan on giving second-round pick Romero Osby a chance to make the team and likely will invite as many as four more players to their training camp, according to a source close to the club. As expected, Turkoglu and the team have been trying to arrange a buyout with the 13-year veteran small forward. He does not figure into the team's rebuilding plans at age 34. Only half of his $12 million salary for next season — the last year of his contract — is guaranteed.
