Turkish, US Chiefs of Staff Meet in Washington
Turkey and America's top military commanders met on Wednesday in what a spokesman from the US Joint Chiefs of Staff has called a sign of the two nations' deeply rooted strategic ties. Speaking to the Anatolia news agency on Wednesday, Pentagon spokesperson Cdr. Scott McIlnay said Chief of General Staff Necdet Özel met with Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, on Wednesday and plans to see US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta on Thursday. The talks are expected to cover the two nations' overlapping strategic interests, which include the Syria crisis and Iran's nuclear ambitions.

According to a released statement on Thursday, Saudi businessman al-Mugherah applied for a land allocation to the Governorship of Bursa. Al-Mugherah requested one million square meters land to build an enormous complex and thermal resorts and 100,000 square meters to construct an automotive spare parts factory.

Azerbaijani businessman, President of the Palmali Group of Companies, Mubariz Mansimov, has bought an island near the port that he owns in Bodrum city. Operational construction works are under way in the island, and a grandiose opening ceremony of the island is expected to be held soon, 
PATERSON, NJ – After a one-year absence, the Turkish-American parade returns to Paterson this weekend. The event will begin at noon on Sunday at the corner of Madison Avenue and Main Street. It will then proceed down Main Street into Clifton, where a festival will be held at Clifton Park.
Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), owned by Turkish couple Fatih and Eren Özmen, was among four companies chosen for a commercial space flight project by NASA. SNC will be competing against Boeing, Blue Origin, and SpaceX to produce a space shuttle. Last year, the company received $100 million for the project, and according to news portal, www.turkavenue.com, the couple behind SNC have named their shuttle “Dream Chaser.”

NASA wants "routine access" for both cargo and crew to the space station, and has also set its sights on deep space exploration for the longer term. To achieve these objectives NASA is outsourcing low-Earth orbit spaceflight to the commercial sector whilst developing its own capabilities for travel beyond low-Earth orbit.
