“Commercial relations should be enhanced between Turkey and Mexico,” said Rifat Hisarciklioğlu chairman of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, or TOBB, at the meeting with Mexican President Felipe Calderon.
Hisaciklioğlu attended a meeting of the World Chambers Federation, or WCF, chaired by Rona Yırcalı, the board chairman of the Foreign Economic Relations Board, or DEİK.
“Turkey wants to improve commercial relations with Latin American countries,” said Hisarciklioğlu while highlighting the need for removal of obstacles to trade, the conclusion of Doha talks by the end of 2011 and intervention in protective policies.
“Green economy policies and the global cooperation should be created for sustainable development,” he said.
Recalling the fact that the private sector is the main actor of countries’ development, “more importance should be given to collaboration of public and private sectors,” the TOBB chairmen said. “We need a coordination center to bridge the public and private sectors.” Source: AA
