NEW YORK, /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Turkish Designer, Seckin Ilker, proudly debuts her Fall/Winter 2012 Collection at Nolcha Fashion Week: New York this February. Held simultaneously with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Nolcha is one of New York's leading platforms for global independent fashion designers.
Ilker's new collection for this season is inspired by "reflections of emotions," with high quality garments made from silk, taffeta, organdy and French lace which create an elegant look. Ilker's line will also include her bridal extension, "Silhouette Bride," with a focus on reflecting the emotions behind "innocence," and "purity." The bridal line will be light weight including wedding dresses, evening dresses, and even a more casual take on a mini wedding dress. This season's color palette will integrate a contrast between red, black and dark blue, to pink, salmon and cream with an emphasis on romance.
Named after the Turkish designer herself, Seckin Ilker Fashion House was first opened in Istanbul, Turkey seven years ago. Ilker began her career producing haute couture lines for her showroom, which attracted both local and international clients. She later grew in to designing eccentric ready to wear collections and in 2010, she created her second brand, Silhouette Bride, for wedding and evening dresses. Silhouette Bride has become one of the 'must visit' stores on Badgat Avenue in Istanbul.
Guler Köknar is a graduate of the German High School in Istanbul (1985) and the Istanbul University School of Law (1989). She entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey as a career diplomat in 1989 and worked in various capacities until 1994, including as Vice Consul at the Turkish Consulate General in Houston. Leaving the Foreign Service, from 1994 to 2002, Köknar worked as Executive Director of the Assembly of Turkish American Associations (ATAA) in Washington, DC. In 2004, Köknar became Executive Director of the Turkish Cultural Foundation (TCF). She also works as Vice President of the Turkish Coalition of America, an organization she helped to establish in 2007. Köknar is married and has a daughter. 
The Coca-Cola Co. Chairman and CEO Muhtar Kent got a nearly 5 percent boost to his total compensation in 2012, the same year the beverage giant’s profit rose 5 percent. According to Coca-Cola’s proxy filing to the Securities and Exchange Commission, Kent’s total comp hit $30.5 million, including a $1.55 million salary (up 15 percent), $6.2 million in stock awards (up 11 percent), $6.9 million in option awards (down 7 percent), $6 million in non-equity incentive plan compensation (flat) and $8.9 million in change in pension value/non-qualified deferred compensation earnings (up 11 percent).

Publishers looking for promising ideas are said to have approached talk show host Dr. Mehmet Oz about doing an eponymous magazine. According to the industry grapevine, Rodale, Hearst and Time Inc. are the most likely candidates. A spokesman for Oz would not comment on the rumors or potential suitors, but said: “It should be a surprise to no one that Dr. Oz would be a desirable partner in a magazine venture because of the popularity of the show.” Oz has been a prolific writer, churning out 10 books in the “You: The Owner’s Manual” series for Simon & Schuster’s Free Press. 
Despite regional tension and global economic crisis, risk perception for Turkey has reduced, ATC Chairman Richard L. Armitage told AA correspondent. Armitage said that they were very hopeful about improvement of commercial relations between Turkey and the United States. Turkey could benefit from some developments that have occurred in different places in the world, he said, adding that Chinese economy has started to slow down and many American investors were looking for different countries for investment. "Turkey is an exciting country for investments," he said. 
The analogue industry is at an inflection point, says Tunc Doluca, CEO of Maxim Integrated. It is consolidating, it is increasingly focussed on mobility and it is heading towards higher levels of integration. "Originally the analogue industry was dominated by building blocks," says Doluca, "now we can help a customer build a system. The old single-function building block industry is going. Companies which can build highly integrated solutions can benefit."
