Chobani Yogurt Founder Hamdi Ulukaya Becomes Billionaire

Bloomberg reported Ulukaya released a statement saying: “The real story here is the collective success of Chobani and how we as a company, through our fans and community, have left an indelible mark on the yogurt industry.”
Although Ulukaya has made his fortune selling Greek yogurt, he is a 40-year-old Turkish immigrant to America. Both Turkey and Greece share a tradition of yogurt making and Ulukaya has said his brand is just the same as the yogurt hand-made by his mother back home in Turkey. His company only began producing the yogurt five years ago, making the company's amazing progress a runaway success story.
Cashing in on the growth in popularity of Greek yogurt, Chobani became the second company to launch a Greek yogurt bar in New York City this summer.
