A Turkish Company Protects Websites of U.S. Presidential Nominees
Comodo, a Turkish company owned by Melih Abdulhayoglu, is providing the security of the websites of nominees of the U.S. presidential elections. Results of the elections, which will choose either President Barack Obama or Republican Mitt Romney, will be revealed on November 6.
Abdulhayoglu told AA that they were proud of supporting both Democrats and Republicans in the internet security area. Comodo company was set up in Britain and then moved to U.S. in 2004. Abdulhayoglu said that campaigns of nominees were collecting millions of USD of donations through their websites, adding that security of identities and credit card numbers of the donators was very important. He added that Comodo also undertook the security of Obama's website in 2008 presidential elections. (AA, Cahit Oktay)
