When you do a search in Google by typing ‘Dentist Wayne in New Jersey’, the comments of 86 dental patients under the link of Aesthetic Smile Design catch the eye. 84 of these patients have ranked Dr. Gürbüz Edeer, whom the patients visited at Aesthetic Smile Design, with five stars. Many of those who commented wrote that ‘Edeer is one of the best doctors’ that they have ever come across. And, when you ask Dr. Edeer ‘why a dental patient should choose him’, he recommends you to read these 86 comments in order to make an impartial evluation. According to a study done by Turk of America, the number of Turkish doctors living in the states of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut is around 250. Among them are those who continue their careers in the USA after having completed their studies in Turkey, as well as, those who practice medicine in USA as a member of the second generation Turks in the country.

As Kenan Sahin walks through the labs at Tiax, an energy technology development firm located along Boston’s tech beltway, he points to a row of little muffle furnaces in a small beige room. The company’s researchers use the ovens to heat mixtures of metals, producing slight variations of a nickel-rich cathode recipe that Sahin believes will improve the energy density, cycle life, and price of lithium-ion batteries.

Turkish Burger King Operator TFI Files for IPO in New York

Burger King’s biggest franchisee outside the U.S., TFI TAB Gida Yatirimlari AS, filed for an initial public offering in New York. The Turkish company hasn’t yet decided how many American depositary shares it will offer or the price range it will use to market the stock, according to a statement Monday. TFI is planning to go public as early as next year, people familiar with the matter said in September.

Gulenist Group Signs Clients, Still in Conflict with Joel Rubin's Firm

The Washington Strategy Group, a lobbying firm started by supporters of Fethullah Gulen, a Turkish cleric living in Pennsylvania blamed by the Turkish government for instigating a failed coup last year, has started signing clients. The group registered to lobby on its own behalf last year on “Human rights violations and the protection of free expression in Turkey,” but until last week hadn’t signed any clients. The six clients all appear to be local Gulenist and Turkish-American organizations based in Columbus, Ohio; Des Plaines, Ill.; Houston; New York; St. Louis; and Sunnyvale, Calif. Washington Strategy Group also registered to lobby for each of them on “Global human rights violations, freedom of expressions, rule of law, recent refugee and immigration problems,” according to disclosure filings.

Turkish-origin Student Becomes Youngest US Politician with Municipal Council Election

A 19-year-old student of Turkish origin became the youngest politician in U.S. history after his election to the municipal council in the northeastern city of New Haven, Connecticut. Independent and uncontested candidate Hacıbey Çatalbaşoğlu was elected to the board of alders from New Haven's Ward 1 reserved for the city's renowned Yale University, where Çatalbaşoğlu continues his studies. Çatalbaşoğlu, who also helps out his father at their pizza shop in downtown New Haven, conducted a tight door-to-door election campaign, asking voter support with the promise to bring the city and the university closer.

Chobani Building $21 Million Research Center, Not in New York

Chobani, the second-largest yogurt maker in the United States, has picked Idaho, not upstate New York, as the site of its new $21 million research center. The Greek yogurt giant founded by former University at Albany student Hamdi Ulukaya is headquartered in New Berlin, New York, about 100 miles west of Albany. Chobani announced late last week that it is building a 70,000-square-foot expansion in Twin Falls, Idaho, where the company has invested $850 million over the past five years.

Turkish Businessman Alptekin Rejects Kidnapping Plot Allegations

A Turkish businessman on Saturday refuted “fabricated” allegations that a former aide to U.S President Donald Trump discussed with Turkish representatives, a quid pro quo plan to kidnap Fetullah Gulen, the U.S based-leader of the Fetullah Terror Organization (FETO). The Wall Street Journal claimed in a report that Ekim Alptekin, a Turkish businessman, organized a meeting between former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and Turkish representatives in 2016. Alptekin told Anadolu Agency: “Turkey and the possible bilateral relations with the U.S. -- and nothing illegal -- were discussed in the meeting."

Chobani’s Big Vision for the Magic Valley

Just six years after building the world’s largest yogurt factory from scratch in the desert in south Twin Falls, Chobani is plotting its next miracle: an additional $100 million in expansion projects. The goal, says founder Hamdi Ulukaya, is to transform southern Idaho into the Silicon Valley of food innovation. Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter calls the plan epic. Some folks may underestimate southern Idaho. Ulukaya isn’t one of them. In fact, he sees potential here that seems almost limitless.

Elon Musk Just Got 1 Million Likes for An Instagram Photo Taken at A Turkish Memorial

Elon Musk met personally with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan last week. The photo of Tesla’s founder got 1 million likes for an Instagram photo taken at a memorial of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk finished this week with a new record, his Instagram photo from the Turkish memorial just blown the social media and earned 1 million likes! That is a record, none user has earned more likes than anything else he has posted to Instagram.
