Turkish Businessman Alptekin Rejects Kidnapping Plot Allegations

A Turkish businessman on Saturday refuted “fabricated” allegations that a former aide to U.S President Donald Trump discussed with Turkish representatives, a quid pro quo plan to kidnap Fetullah Gulen, the U.S based-leader of the Fetullah Terror Organization (FETO). The Wall Street Journal claimed in a report that Ekim Alptekin, a Turkish businessman, organized a meeting between former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and Turkish representatives in 2016. Alptekin told Anadolu Agency: “Turkey and the possible bilateral relations with the U.S. -- and nothing illegal -- were discussed in the meeting."

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk finished this week with a new record, his Instagram photo from the Turkish memorial just blown the social media and earned 1 million likes! That is a record, none user has earned more likes than anything else he has posted to Instagram.

Turkish PM Denies Working With Former US Security Aide Featured

Binali Yildirim in CNN interview says Turkey in talks with US government for extradition of coup attempt's mastermind. Prime Minister Binali Yildirim has denied Turkey's involvement in an alleged plan with former U.S security adviser Michael Flynn to kidnap U.S.-based Fetullah Gulen, the leader of Fetullah Terrorist Organization behind last year's coup attempt. In part of an interview with popular television host Fareed Zakaria on CNN International posted on the network's website on Saturday evening, Yildirim said Turkey was expecting the White House to extradite Gulen. However, "we see that there is no any signal [through] which extradition will be in place," said Yildirim, speaking in English.

US Turkish Embassy Slams Alleged Kidnapping Plot

Describing it as 'utterly false and ludicrous', Turkish Embassy in Washington denied allegations of kidnapping Gulen. The Turkish Embassy in Washington on Saturday denied allegations that Turkey would use unlawful ways of extraditing Fetullah Gulen, the U.S based-leader of the FETO terror group. "All allegations that Turkey would resort to means external to the rule of law for Gulen's extradition are utterly false, ludicrous and groundless," according to a statement released by the embassy. Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup attempt on July 15, 2016, which left 250 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.

Pence Voices U.S. Concern to Turkish Prime Minister About Arrests

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Vice President Mike Pence expressed “deep concern” to Turkey’s prime minister on Thursday about the arrests of American citizens and local staff of U.S. missions in Turkey, the White House said.  The matters raised by Pence are some of the issues that have created tension between the two NATO allies in recent months, along with a dispute over a Turkish cleric living in the United States whom Ankara accuses of orchestrating a failed military coup in Turkey last year.

Tesla and SpaceX chief Elon Musk meets Erdogan in Turkey

By The Associated Press - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk on Wednesday to discuss cooperation between his companies and Turkish firms, including the launch of Turkish satellites, a senior official said. Presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin told state-run Anadolu Agency that the two also talked about electric cars and sustainable energy. The meeting took place at the presidential palace complex in Ankara.

Turkish PM, US Vice President Hope for 'New Chapter'

Prime Minister Binali Yildirim and U.S. Vice President Mike Pence hoped for "a new chapter” between the both countries during their meeting in Washington Thursday, according to the White House. The meeting, which was closed to the media, started at the Roosevelt room at 11 a.m. local time (0400 GMT) and lasted an hour and 20 minutes. Discussing a wide range of bilateral and regional issues during a meeting, Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Energy Minister Berat Albayrak, Turkish Ambassador to the U.S. Serdar Kilic and Justice and Development (AK) Party Deputy Chairman Mehmet Mus also accompanied Yildirim.
